qubitec was born from a passion — for technology. Our motto is "We love technology". We love new technologies, continuous learning, speed, and collaboration at eye level. And we want successful innovation to be possible for everyone. Bureaucracy doesn't help — neither technology nor the people driving it forward.
Our Story
Austria has one of the densest funding systems in Europe. Billions are available every year to finance technological innovation. But many of the most innovative startups and SMEs don't tap into this potential — because the process is complex, time-consuming, and opaque. A single FFG application means 50–80 pages, complex cost calculations, and months of waiting. Many founders don't apply at all or fail because they lack insider knowledge. Yet the best innovation should win — not the best application.
Our founder Johannes Wieser is himself a software developer with over 15 years of experience in software engineering, AI, and agile. He understands technology projects at eye level — and recognized that this deep technical understanding is the decisive difference in application writing. Together with co-founder Maximilian Geyer, he built a system that replaces bureaucracy with technology.
Today, qubitec is Austria's most innovative tech grant consultancy: a team of software experts, AI developers, and experienced grant advisors with over 300 submissions per year. Our drive: to accelerate innovation, shorten learning curves, and enable success at eye level — so that strong technology projects no longer fail due to paperwork.
